Connie graduated from Warren High School in 1953. In 1957, she graduated from Grove City College. Connie taught a year of science at Titusville Junior High School. She married James F. Henderson in November of the same year before he enlisted in the United States Army. In June 1958, they moved to Texas near Jim’s military base and their first daughter, Caryn, was born in 1959. They lived there until the spring of 1960, when Jim was retired from service and returned to live in Warren. Connie and Jim had two more daughters, Cathy and Julie, over the next two years.

As the girls grew older, Connie worked for about five years at the Walden Bookstore in the new mall that had just opened in the North Warren area. She was also a substitute teacher. With her love of history, she volunteered for years at the Warren County Historical Society.

She was active in the First Presbyterian Church and taught kindergarten for about five years. Years later when Jim brought home Warren Journal articles on the church, Connie put them in order and they spent many hours compiling information so the church now has its history. from the late 1800s until 2005, when the church newsletter filled this need.

Connie loved music and enjoyed playing the violin, piano and autoharp. In fact, she transcribed over 100 hymns so that she could play them on the autoharp. She was also an enthusiastic supporter and volunteer at the Warren County Summer Music School. She also liked to do counted cross stitch and took a lot of beautiful pictures.

In August 2009, Connie married the Reverend George B. Johnson. Together they continued to work on the history of the church and the beautiful gardens of the house which they both enjoyed.

Connie was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, DAC, DAR, Blue Stocking Club and Philomel.

Connie was a loving wife and mother and will be sadly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her sister, Elizabeth (Liz) Brown; three daughters: Caryn Eichelberger, Lebanon, Ohio, Cathy (Tom) Hauck, Somerset, NJ, and Julie Henderson, Dallas, Texas; five grandchildren: Eric Eichelberger, Layne (Kyle) Sears, David Hauck, James Hauc and Jeremy Fundling; and a great-granddaughter, Harper Sears.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, James Henderson in 2004, and her second husband, the Reverend George B. Johnson in December 2020.

A Celebration of Life will be held at First Presbyterian Church, Warren, Pennsylvania at a later date. Interment will be held in Oakland Cemetery, Warren, PA at the convenience of the family.
