Flood Watch + Artistic Opening + Beginning of Halloween Events in Healdsburg

Hi everyone! Simone here with your weekend edition of the Healdsburg Daily. Apologies for the lack of consistency in the newsletter over the past week – I took a much needed time off. And today’s newsletter is abbreviated, with weather and local events only (there are plenty!). I’ll catch up with you on any local news you need to know next week.

Thanks for staying with me. Here we are…

First, your weather forecast for the weekend:

  • Saturday: Cool, with rain this afternoon. High: 59 Low: 55.
  • Sunday: Strong wind and rain. High: 61 Low: 51.
  • On Monday: More rain, but less intense. High: 61 Low: 46.

Weather officials issued a flash flood watch for the Healdsburg area like an “atmospheric river” crosses today and tomorrow. Heavy rains from tonight through Sunday night could lead to flash floods, especially in areas burned by forest fires in the last two years – as well as “debris flows” and “urban floods and small streams” in the city, according to officials. Watch out there! (Healdsburg Crest and Healdsburg Crest)
