The registration period for the Rhode Island Philharmonic School Summer 2021 is underway for lessons, courses and ensembles open to students of all ages and abilities.
“Music school students thrive thanks to our lessons, classes and ensembles, and are now again available directly online,” explains Music School Director Annette Mozzoni. “Now is a great time to start with the best teachers in Rhode Island. It’s easy for us to start learning, to continue to develop new abilities over time, and to increase students’ love of music in new ways. Have fun. “
The summer session will start on July 6. Private lessons start at any time. Tuition fees are pro-rated (new students can take advantage of the RI Philharmonic School 4 to 3 offer and purchase three for a free lesson). Next year’s ensemble audition will begin at the end of the summer.
The Road Island Philharmonic Orchestra & School of Music continued its mission of enriching and transforming states and territories during the Covid-19 pandemic through the performance of great symphonies and world-class music education. The RI Philharmonic School of Music switched to live online teaching in March 2020, a very popular transition with students and faculty alike. Rhode Island Monthly highlighted the RI Philharmonic Youth Wind Ensemble virtual concert on the Rhode Island 2020 Best List. The RI Philharmonic School of Music is happy to return to direct offers as well as online education.
The RI Philharmonic School of Music offers a variety of music making opportunities for students of all ages and abilities. Infant and toddler classes include Music Together and Rhythm Kids, and families with toddlers (ages 0-8) have the option to connect with other families to listen to music, laugh and to learn together. The courses for young people and adults (8 to adults) include an introduction to the dictionary for singers, accompaniment and multitasking for pianists, an introduction to music theory and auditory training, a trip in trio with piano and the last 20 years. Includes jazz and more! With a wide range of private instrument lessons, you can hone your musician’s skills regardless of instrument and age. Ensembles provide musicians of all skill levels with the means to further enhance their collaborative musical skills and make new friendships. Summer ensembles include jazz and rock groups in grades 6 to 12. All programs focus on both learning and fun.
The Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra & Music School currently serves over 10,000 students through the School of Music and its community engagement program. Join them! There has never been a better time to play.
